This policy explains how The Global Contractor Network, LLC (“GCN”, “we”, “us”) handles information in Claim Buddy (gcn.claims and the Claim Buddy iPhone and Android apps) and the GCN App (globalcontractor.app). It applies to Claim Buddy and the GCN App and our related websites.
Who uses our apps
Our apps are business tools for roofing, restoration and contracting companies and their staff. Accounts are created by GCN or by a company’s administrator. Subscriptions are sold to companies directly, not inside the app.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, phone number, company, role and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- Work you enter — leads, customers and properties (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails), insurance carrier and claim details, inspection notes, measurements, estimates, reports, contracts and signatures, and any other details you or your company type in.
- Photos and files — pictures you take or upload for an inspection, and documents you attach.
- Location — your device’s location, only when you allow it, for maps, door-to-door tracking and roof measurement.
- Voice recordings — when you use voice takeoff, the recording is sent to be transcribed into line items.
- Device and usage information — basic technical data such as device type, app version, pages used, errors and log records, used to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the apps: run inspections, measure roofs, build estimates and reports, and keep your company’s records.
- To power AI features (photo analysis, roof outline detection, report writing, voice transcription).
- To support you, send account and service emails, and keep the service secure.
- To improve roof measurement: corrected roof outlines and pitch (shapes and measurements only, not customer names or contact details) are shared across the platform so detection gets more accurate.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Your company’s data stays separate
Each company’s leads, customers, jobs, photos and documents are kept separate and are only visible to that company’s members and to GCN staff who support the account.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the apps, only for that purpose and under their own security terms:
- Supabase — database, file storage and sign-in
- Lovable — website and app hosting
- Google — maps, satellite imagery and AI models (Gemini)
- Anthropic — AI models (Claude)
- Resend — transactional email
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or GCN.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is active. Records you create for your company belong to that company and are kept for it until the company closes its account or asks us to delete them.
Deleting your account
In the Claim Buddy app, go to Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your login and personal profile. Work you created for your company (inspections, photos, reports) stays with your company. You can also email admin@gcn.support to ask us to delete your account or your company’s data.
Your choices and rights
- You can turn off location, camera, photo or microphone access at any time in your phone’s settings.
- You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing us.
- If you are a homeowner whose details a contractor entered, contact that contractor, or email us and we will help.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by company and role, and we limit staff access to what’s needed to support you. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Children
Our apps are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email.
